Every day, when it comes to doing the will of our God, each of us is given a choice to have a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ moment. Like Mary (Lk. 1:26-38), we are all graced to participate in the plans of our Lord. But unlike Mary, do we say ‘yes’ to what the Lord desires?
We say ‘no’ to God because we prefer to pursue our own interests, satisfy our desires and live life ‘my way’. We say ‘yes’ to God when we grow to love Him and want to please Him. Those who choose to say ‘yes’ receive abundant blessings in our lives.
Loving Father, as You invite us to participate in Your plan of salvation, we pray that You fill us with Your Spirit so that we can say ‘yes’ to Your will, and to do all that we can to bring Christ to the world. Amen.
