Ready to put on your dancing shoes and jump for joy? The happy celebration of Christmas is only a few days away. This is the real source of our joy: the belief that our Saviour was born and will return. Nothing should rob us of this joy, not even COVID-19.
If we choose to imitate Mary and allow God’s word to guide our lives, then joy will be ours. As the infant John leapt for joy in the presence of Mary (Lk. 1:44), imitating David dancing in front of the Ark, so too we are called to dance with abandon for His glory.
Lord Jesus, in Your presence there is fulness of joy. Pour your love and mercy upon us, so that we may happily dance with the gladness that comes from being with You. Amen.
