Online Masses are a blessing and a necessity during this novel Coronavirus pandemic. The Lord who we worship is the supplier of all our needs (Mt. 15:29-37). During Mass, He heals us and feeds us with His word and Sacrament. This is a sign of His love.
While we give thanks for online Masses, the reality of not receiving the Body of Christ is something that should disturb us. Many are comfortable going everywhere except Church. Perhaps we can use Advent to examine our real belief in the Eucharist.
Lord Jesus, as we thank You for the gift of Yourself to us, may we give ourselves to You in return. Help us to wake up and be alert to the excuses we offer in being comfortable going everywhere, yet fail to see the importance of partaking in Eucharist. Amen.
