“Do you see what I see? Do you hear what I hear?” (Gladys Knight). Jesus affirms the real beauty and blessing of seeing and hearing Him (Lk. 10:23-24). We who now wait for the Lord during the Season of Advent, can ‘see and hear’ Him when we choose to spend time with Him in prayer, the way He spent time with His Father (10:21-22).
Let us choose to make time for the Lord in prayer from the heart and reflection with our mind. Look to and listen to Him, because He is our light and salvation.
Lord Jesus, as we wait for Your return, may Your Spirit help us to affirm our relationship with You. Anoint our eyes to see Your loving presence in our lives at all times. Touch our ears to listen and respond to Your voice. May our mutual love keep us always connected. Amen.
