Jesus states that we are to become like little children to enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt. 18:1-5). Three insights as it concerns children are:

1. Children take delight and joy in being with their parents. As children of our Father, we too should always be happy each time we are consciously aware of His presence.

2. Children are dependent on their parents. As children of God, not only are we called to trust in God's providence, but also be grateful for His many blessings.

3. Children who develop their full potential are a delight to their parents. We are God's children, given all the graces we need to live out our full potential of being a holy people by our faith, hope and love.

Today, let us strive to live as children of our Father, and show the world we have a heavenly home.

Loving Father, empower us with Your Spirit, so that we can live as children in whom You are well pleased. Amen.
