Daily Byte

Conflicts are constitutive in the journey of life. Various reasons such as immaturity, different views, selfishness, unstable minds, exaggerated egos and the desire to control are some of the root causes for conflict. There are no easy solutions, but identifying the real underlying ‘seed’ for the uproar can assist in bringing some peace and order. Jesus is the light of the world (Jn. 8:12). It is to be expected that when He draws close to us, there will be conflict. Light and darkness cannot co-exist. His light will either drive the darkness away from us, or we will beg Him to leave us (Mt. 8:32, 34). Let us humbly ask the Lord to illumine our minds so that we will live in His light. Lord Jesus, we ask you to drive away any darkness from our lives so that we may live and love by Your marvellous light. Help us to shine as Your lights in this world. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
