Lenten Bytes

God wants us to live and be saved. He does not “derive any pleasure from the death of the wicked”, but rejoices “when he turns from his evil way that he may live” (Ez. 18:23). We worship a God who is full of forgiveness and kindness (Ps. 130:4, 7). His nature is love, and He desires our redemption and not our condemnation. Knowing who our God is and how He operates, should give us the courage and inspiration to change and become what God wants us to be. A mind consumed with anger and malice must change (Mt. 5:22). A heart that is unloving and manifests unkind words must change. A body that walks in darkness must repent and return to the Lord. Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit mould my entire being so that I may repent and live according to Your word. Amen.
