Lenten Bytes

We are born into a world of differences. Our unique personalities and viewpoints, religious and political practices, cultural lifestyles and social upbringing, all highlight the reality of being different and learning how to cope with these variations. How do we attain unity? Despite their contact with Jesus, the crowd offers different opinions on Jesus’ identity (Jn. 7:40-53). He was viewed as a ‘Prophet’ or ‘Christ’, while others wanted to arrest Him. Only the love of Christ can conquer all differences, and lead us as one people back to the Father. Lord Jesus, Your love knows no limits nor is bound to one label. May this love help us to rise above our differences, and live as one people united by Your Spirit. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
