Our Advent journey has begun. With faith and hope in the promise of our Lord’s return, we look forward to this event with joyful expectation. But our waiting is one that is active and not passive. Like the Disciples in today’s gospel, there is something that the Lord expects of us. Jesus tells the disciples that their eyes are blessed because they see Him (Lk. 10:23). He who revealed Himself to them, would empower them to reveal Him to others. This too is our task. We who see Him in our life’s events, must also now reveal His presence until He comes. Lord Jesus, as we look forward to Your coming, may Your Spirit fill us with zeal and courage to reveal Your loving presence to all. Amen.
