We are not perfect people, but we worship the Lord who is perfect. As we grow to love Him who first loved us, we are called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to grow in His way of perfection. This will not occur overnight, but this journey is a process and requires patient surrender. Surrendering to God starts with prayer. Jesus declares, “My house will be a house of prayer” (Lk. 19:46). As ‘temples’ or ‘houses’ of the Spirit, our lives must be coloured with prayer. It is through prayer that we are strengthened, cleansed and blessed to grow as God desires. Lord Jesus, teach me how to positively respond to your invitation to pray always. May our time in prayer allow growth in Your ways. Amen.
