Jesus tells us that the truth will set us free (Jn. 8:32). Jesus, who has said He is the ‘Truth’ (Jn. 14:6), is the one who frees us from our sins by His love. If sin makes us slaves (Jn. 8:34), then the blood of Christ which conquers all things liberates us from all bondage. Do we walk in the freedom that Jesus gives? Our liberation is based not only on confessing our sins to the Lord, but also on believing that we are truly forgiven. When the Lord pardons us and gives us the key to walk, we have to unshackle the chains of sin and walk in joy. Lord Jesus, help me to embrace Your forgiveness, and walk in the freedom that Your sacrifice on the cross paid for my sins. Amen.
