Today's Byte

The centurion said to Jesus in today's reading, "Only say the word, and my servant will be healed" (Mt. 8:8). These beautiful words of faith and care are even more special because he asked for healing, not for himself, but for someone of a lower status. Do we genuinely desire and pray for the health and well-being of others? It is one thing to pray for family and friends, but to open our hearts to include anyone who is in need of healing, without regard for social barriers, is a true sign of love.

Pray for everyone. Lord Jesus, may Your healing power fall afresh on those who need this grace and comfort today, so that Your purpose and glory will be achieved. Amen.
