Today's Byte

True love yields to reconciliation. God is love, and His love for us prompted Him to send His Son to die so that we may be saved (Jn. 3:16). Paul tells us in today's first reading that "God has reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation" (2 Cor. 5:18). Reconciliation is a lifelong practice. We are continuously being reconciled with our God through Christ because of our daily sins. Love is stronger than sin, and God is always ready to forgive us and welcome us home. This is the paradigm for our lives. Are we ready to forgive and be reconciled with God and each other? Lord Jesus, through Your sacrifice on the cross, we have the gift of forgiveness of our sins. As You reconcile us to our Father, help us to love and be reconciled with the people in our lives. Amen.
