Where there is love, you will find peace. When Jesus, the God of love, appeared to His beloved disciples, His first gift and word was peace (Jn. 20:19). We are to claim and live the peace of Christ in our lives, so that we can share it with others. Peace comes from obedience to God. Jesus says we are to avoid anger and harsh words against each other, but seek reconciliation (Mt. 5:22-24). It is through our biblical understanding and spiritual maturity that we effectively live as instruments of genuine peace. Lord Jesus, we acknowledge You as our source of peace. May our understanding and obedience to Your word make us authentic peacemakers for Your eternal glory. Amen.
