In a world with so many religious groups, why is there so much violence, tension and restlessness? The answer is multi-faceted. One answer that can be explored is that people do identify themselves as members of a specific religion, but may lack the important ingredient of having a relationship with God. Believers who identify themselves as Christians, need to ponder if the apparent weakness of the Church is rooted in the security of a 'badge' rather than the comfort of a presence. How can Christians impart peace if they are not close to Its source, the risen Christ? The faith increased because the Disciples had a real relationship with the Lord (Acts 6:7). Today, seek the Lord and put Him first. Lord Jesus, help us to surrender ourselves to You, so that we may impact our world according to the values of Your kingdom. Amen.
