What is the quality of our faith? Faith is a gift of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:9). But it is a gift that only grows when we habitually learn to surrender and completely trust in our God. It is tested and proven when crises surface in our lives. Those whose faith is strong will experience true joy and peace in every moment, because of the knowledge and belief that God is present and in charge. Today's first reading shows three men exercising inspirational faith. Threatened with death unless they renounced God, these men chose to remain faithful Him. They confidently stated that God may choose to save them or allow them to die, but they will not change their allegiance (Dn. 3:16-18). God rewarded their faith by rescuing them from death in the fiery surface. May our faith be as strong as theirs. Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit strengthen our faith, so that in every situation of life, we may experience and celebrate Your saving power. Amen.
