Today we are invited by Jesus to obey the commandments, and teach them to others, so that we may be approved in the kingdom of heaven (Mt. 5:19). Our obedience to God is a practical sign of our love for Him. When hearts are connected, there is a strong desire to be together, and to do that which pleases the other. True obedience stems from a heart that overflows with love.

Since Jesus desires the good news to be shared (Mt. 28:20), then we are expected to use our minds to know the word, and pray for the courage to share it. During Lent, we search our hearts to see if our love for God and others is real. We examine our minds to evaluate how much we know and understand the word. This is how we reveal our love for God with all our mind and heart.

Lord Jesus, teach me how to love You with all my heart, so that I can use my mind to know You, and make You known in this world. Amen.
