Today's Byte

To whom do we listen? We are bombarded each day with voices from our family, friends, and the media. Information overload can threaten our sanity, and may disturb our peace of mind as we wrestle with all that is circulated. These voices have the power to shape our lives, influence our decisions, determine to whom we are aligned, and may contribute to where we spend eternity. We are invited by our Lord to 'be still and know that He is God' (Ps.46:10). This means tuning out all the 'distractions' of the many voices and experiences that beckons, and learn how to listen to Him and trust in His word. To ignore our God, is to risk 'exposure' to the world and death (Gn. 3:3). But when we allow the Word to touch our ears (Mk. 7:33), it is then that we are healed, saved, clothed in the Spirit, and led into eternal life. Lord, help me to listen to Your voice so that I may be led in Your ways. Amen.
