Today's Byte

God is always ready to bless us and grant His favour (Ps. 128:2) to us. He gave man all that was needed for a joyful life (Gn. 2:20), and then created woman to be an equal companion, united as one in love (Gn. 2:24). Our Lord's unrestricted blessing is granted to anyone who has faith and calls on Him (Mk. 7:28). God's ultimate aim is to provide what we need for our happiness and His glory. Our response should be to love Him with everything we are, love the people in our lives (Mk. 12:30-31), and do all that is necessary to advance the glory of His name and eternal kingdom. We do this by ensuring that our intentions, words and actions are directed to pleasing God. By allowing His word to shape our lives (Ps. 128:1), it is then we reflect that we are a grateful people of God. Lord, may Your grace empower me to seek first Your kingdom, and do all things that are pleasing in Your sight. Amen.
