“The lamp of the body is the eye” (Mt. 6:22). If we gaze on beauty, we aspire to draw close to beauty and become beautiful. If we fix our stare on the stars, we are motivated to dream big and aim high. If we focus on the light of hope then we will never despair. The Lord is our source of beauty, guide to our lives and the light we need. Let our eyes be fixed on Him.
Loving Lord, as we ‘turn our eyes upon You and look full in Your wonderful face, may the things of this world grow dim, in the light of Your glory and grace’. Amen.
