We are commanded to worship the Lord and have no other gods before Him (Ex. 20:3). Trusting in His saving presence and love, will result in having peace of mind and untroubled hearts (Jn. 14:1). It is very important that we constantly monitor the attachment we give to the people, experiences and material things in our lives. Care must be observed to resist the temptation of making them idols or gods in our lives, the way the crowd did in Acts 14:11-18. Father, may we place You first and foremost in our lives, so that our worship of You, through Jesus and by the power of the Spirit, may be favourable in Your sight. Amen.
