Do we consult the Lord in prayer before we undertake a task or direction in our lives? Even more importantly, when our Lord gives the answer, do we respond in obedience? Peter at first rejected the Lord’s guidance, but when he obeyed, his net overflowed (Lk. 5:1-11).
As we journey through life, seek to develop the habit of practising an awareness of the real presence of the Lord in our lives. God is always with us. He is ready to guide us through all of life’s experiences. If we respond in obedience to Him, great will be our reward.
Loving Lord, may we come to understand that not only are You the way, but also that Your way leads us into the path of overflowing blessings. May our willing obedience cause our ‘net of life’ to be filled with the joy and peace that only You can bestow. Amen.
