Daily Byte

In our journey of life, we sometimes get glimpses of people we know in others. It is common to see peculiar mannerisms being projected, such as a son walking like his dad, a daughter laughing like her mom, a stranger eating in the same manner as a friend.

In today’s gospel, Jesus’ life is so inspiring, that people saw glimpses of John the Baptist, Elijah, or one of the prophets in Him (Lk. 9:7-9). As believers, despite our weaknesses and many sins, do we strive to live our lives so as to give glimpses of Jesus to others?

Today, ask for the grace to walk closely with the Lord, so that others may see Him in us.

Lord Jesus, You fully reveal the Father to us because both of You are one. Help us to draw so close to You, that our lives may provide glimpses of You to all we encounter. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
