News reaching us, struggles within us and experiences around us can evoke emotions of joy or sadness. Each of us will experience moments of pleasure or pain. When we are truly happy, never forget to give thanks to the Lord, the source of all that is good. But how do we deal with heartache and shattered emotions? The Lord gives us the answer when He states, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see” (Lk. 10:23). When we keep our eyes on God, and not on self or others, we will have lasting peace. Lord Jesus, You are the center of peace in the storms of our lives. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on you. Heal and empower us, so that we will be sources of blessing to all. Amen.
