God made everything, therefore all that exists belongs to God. If we truly recognise this truth, then our approach to everyone and everything would be one of reverence, sincerity and respect. Each individual, plant, animal and the environment, as signs of God's beauty and delight, would be given the proper attentive care and concern that is aimed at pleasing our God. There would be no need to distinguish between "Caesar and God" (Mk. 12:14-17), since our duty to self, family, country and all that exists, would be viewed as service and sacrifice offered with loving hearts to God. Lord Jesus, may our sacred duty of honouring and caring for all that is in creation, be sweet incense that rises for your joy. Amen.
