Our Sunday School (ages 4 to 17) and RCIA (adults) programmes have been developed to provide you with the proper guidance and educational experience required to prepare you and your entire family for entrance into the faith through the various sacraments - Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Sunday School

At Stella Maris Church, Children’s Sunday School is geared towards fostering spiritual growth, community development and fellowship of our Catholic children. The children in our Sunday School are prepared for the sacraments of initiation; Baptism/Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.
Parents can register their children from age four, where they enter into pre-school and kindergarten. By age eight, children complete First Communion. This is a two year programme. This is a pivotal time in the life of a Catholic where they experience the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Confirmation is a three year programme. In this sacrament they are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and are strengthened in their Christian life. Click on the above link to Register now!

RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults)
The RCIA describes a process in which men and women are guided into the Catholic Church.
RCIA is not a program but is the Church’s way of ministering sensitively to those who seek membership. The usual length of preparation is from one to two years. The process of spiritual renewal and catechesis is administered so that full benefit can be derived for those not accustomed to the teachings of our Church.
Lent prepares catechumens, candidates and the whole community for baptism, confirmation and Eucharist. The celebration of the Easter Vigil dramatically points to the wellspring of the church’s life: “The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
