Daily Bytes

Our Lord teaches us that the best and most important concern in life is not the power we have and wield, but the aim of having our names written in heaven (Lk. 10:17-20). This is not automatic, but it is a direct result of walking with the Lord and living by His word.

If we have power, then with power comes the responsibility of drawing others to the Lord. If we are not numbered among the powerful, our true power is in the faith and love we have in our God. Live as migrants on earth who are destined to be full citizens of heaven.

Loving Lord, You bless us with the journey of life in this world, so that we can choose if we want to spend eternity with You in heaven. May ‘every step we take, every move we make, and every claim we stake’ draw us closer into Your presence and our eternal home. Amen.
