What is your biggest investment? Every investor hopes for real returns and profit. Jesus imparts the reality between investing in the material and the spiritual (Lk. 21:29-33). Trees, buds, season and people will pass away. Do we expend most of our energy on the material things and experiences of life which are here one moment and gone the next? Or do we choose instead to ensure our portfolio of “hedge funds and futures market” includes time for worshipping God, walking according to His word and aiming for eternal life? The wise investor chooses the investment that is more satisfying. Time to re-examine your strategy.
Lord Jesus, Your ways are perfect and Your everlasting word leads to eternal life. Teach us how to invest ourselves wisely, so we may gain all the riches of Your promises. Amen.
