The Church is imaged as a boat. Each of us is in this boat, playing our part to keep it afloat and offering support to each other. There are times when the storms arise and threaten our boat. But today’s gospel (Mt. 6:45-52) reveals that the Lord not only comes to us to save us from the storm, He is also in the boat with us to take us to safety. Trust in Him.
Come Lord Jesus, and keep your Church afloat and safe from the storms of life. May we trust You as our Captain to navigate us safely to shore. Amen.
