All authority belongs to the Lord. He who creates also dominates. The depiction of Jesus walking on the water (Mk. 6:48-52), shows that He has power over the elements, and “all things are put under His feet” (Heb. 2:8). He is the great Conqueror.
Since the Lord of the universe is also Lord of our lives, what is there to fear? The waters that may threaten to derail our lives have been conquered by the ‘feet of Him who brings good news” ( Rm. 10:15). Today, step out in faith and ‘walk good’.
Lord Jesus, all things are subject to Your power. May we choose to claim and submit to Your mighty presence in our lives, as we walk in faith through this New Year. Amen.
