When we choose to respond favourably to God's word, we must be prepared for opposition and spiritual warfare. Paul states how his ministry was conducted through tears and trials because of the plots of others (Acts 20:19).
Genuine disciples of the Lord can expect rejection, opposition, abuse and accusation. However, if we persevere through everything, we will come to appreciate how the grace of Christ is more than sufficient for the journey (2 Cor. 2:19). Be strong in the Lord.
Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit and grace strengthen us to effectively evangelize our world. Amen.
